What happens when you take a team of passionate leaders out of their usual environment and place them somewhere peaceful, inspiring, and just a little bit wild? For us at Distinct Group, it became the catalyst for bold vision, honest reflection, and renewed unity.
Last week, our directors Craig and Darren brought together the Senior Management Team for something truly different—a transformative leadership retreat in Ibiza.
More than just a scenic break, this was a deliberate opportunity to step back from the day-to-day demands of London life and think bigger. Set against the backdrop of crystal waters, golden cliffs, and Mediterranean calm, the retreat gave us space to reflect on who we are as a business—and who we want to become.
Over the course of several days, we engaged in deep strategic discussions, realigned on our vision, and revisited the core values that define Distinct. We explored questions around our future direction, our identity as a luxury facilities management company, and the evolving expectations of our clients and teams.
There were cliff jumps, coastal hikes, paddleboarding sessions, and even a rejuvenating sound bath. But just as important were the open conversations around purpose, leadership, and our responsibility to the communities we serve.
What truly stood out was the unity within the team. Despite our individual backgrounds, experiences, and viewpoints, we came together as one—bound by a shared commitment to excellence, innovation, and impact. The experience reaffirmed that Distinct is not just a company; it’s a family built on trust, support, and shared ambition.
The result? A re-energised leadership team, aligned behind a bold new vision and ready to take the next steps in our journey—with clarity, confidence, and heart.
