With a strong foundation built on our core values, Distinct Group is proud to announce its expansion into the UAE, beginning in Dubai, with a vision to elevate facilities management standards across the region.
Over the past few months, we’ve been quietly laying the groundwork for our expansion into the UAE, and the time has come to share some exciting developments. Several of our UK clients encouraged us to bring the same level of exemplary service to the UAE, and naturally, we were delighted to oblige. Since April, we’ve been steadily establishing our presence in Dubai, with plans to expand across the UAE.
A key factor in our success has been our operations manager, Tanita. She has embraced this challenge with remarkable determination and grace, and it’s been a pleasure to see her thriving in this role. From the very start, our directors, Craig and Darren, were personally involved. Not content to merely observe, they rolled up their sleeves and worked alongside our new team, ensuring everyone received comprehensive training. Their hands-on approach helped instill the Distinct ethos and set the high standard for the exceptional service we aim to deliver throughout the region.
Launching in Dubai has presented its unique challenges. Navigating new regulations, adapting to cultural nuances, and aligning with established industry norms required thoughtful planning. However, one area where we knew we could make an immediate difference was in how we support our staff. At Distinct, our people are our greatest asset, and their dedication underpins our success.
We've ensured that our team has access to the finest equipment in the industry. Darren himself can be seen demonstrating how to use the SEBO (UK) Ltd XB30—specialist carpet cleaning equipment ideal for luxury carpets. By equipping our team with the latest tools, we maintain the highest standards, particularly in prestigious locations where quality is paramount.
As part of our expansion, we’ve placed a strong emphasis on fair treatment, fair pay, and ensuring our team members benefit from excellent working and living conditions. We’re committed to continually introducing benefits that set new standards in the industry, including care packages, high-quality uniforms, and air-conditioned transport to enhance our staff's comfort and well-being. But we’re not stopping there—our goal is to consistently seek out new ways to further elevate the level of support for our team, wherever we operate.
With our Dubai base firmly established, Craig and Darren will be returning, along with Simon, this week to meet prospective clients—many of whom we already support in the UK—to explore how we can continue raising the standard of facilities management across the region.
