This month, we proudly celebrated Debbie’s 10-year anniversary with the company. From our humble beginnings as a 12-person team to becoming a trusted name in luxury soft facilities management, Debbie has been there every step of the way—making her mark, lifting others, and shaping the Distinct we know today.

A Decade of Dedication: Celebrating 10 Years of Debbie at Distinct

At Distinct, our people are the heartbeat of everything we do. Behind every pristine boutique, polished entrance, and seamless client experience is a team member who brings commitment, pride, and personality to the job. And few embody that spirit more than Debbie.

This week marks an extraordinary milestone: Debbie’s 10-year anniversary with Distinct. A full decade of loyalty, consistency, and contribution that’s helped shape who we are today.

Debbie joined us when we were a close-knit team of just 12, during our early days of delivering luxury retail cleaning services across London. Since then, she's been integral to our growth—from boutique beginnings to becoming a trusted partner for over 90% of the UK’s luxury retail market.

A Promise Made (and Kept)

Rewinding five years to a Christmas party, Co-Founders Craig and Darren made a light-hearted vow: “When you hit 10 years, we’ll get you a Burberry bag.” Well, true to their word—and our values of appreciation and integrity—Debbie was surprised this week with a beautiful Burberry bag, along with a personalised Long Service Award.

It’s gestures like this that reflect our ethos: recognising not only performance, but the people behind it. Because at Distinct, commitment isn’t just rewarded—it’s celebrated.

Reflections from Debbie

When asked what stands out from her journey, Debbie shared:

“Watching Craig and Darren grow the company into what it is today and knowing I’ve been part of that journey is something I’m really proud of.”

And rightly so. Debbie has been with us through every milestone—from our expansion into corporate and commercial environments to the roll-out of sustainable cleaning technologies and achieving accreditations like ISO 9001, 14001, 27001, 45001 and Living Wage Foundation recognition.

Loyalty You Can’t Teach

Craig and Darren put it best:

It’s not every day you meet someone whose work ethic is matched only by their warmth. As our 12th employee, Debbie made it clear this week: she’s here to stay. And in today’s world, that kind of loyalty is rare—and deeply valued.
